Allie Gee, the "OMG" behind OMGee Events — a queer and woman-owned wedding and event planning company based in Philadelphia and popping up all over Delaware, New Jersey, and New York. A former professional dancer, Allie discovered her real superpower: turning big, beautiful, once-in-a-lifetime moments into a process that's actually fun, exciting, and refreshingly stress-free. From full planning to day-of coordination, she obsesses over the perfect little details and the traditions that make each couple's story unmistakably theirs.
O.M.Gee Events is, by Allie's own framing, a "queer and woman-owned event planning & coordination company." Allie celebrates diversity and pairs high-level planning with a warm, personable approach that makes couples feel supported, not just scheduled.

How We Work
My process runs on three things my couples consistently feel: calm, cared for, and celebrated. I come from the stage — years as a professional dancer — so I choreograph a wedding like a show, where every moment is timed and every little detail is intentional. From our very first call, I lead with warm, honest communication: I ask questions until I truly get your vision, keep you looped in on the decisions that matter, and quietly handle the endless vendor back-and-forth behind the scenes. And when something goes sideways on the day — it always does — I've usually solved it in the wings before you ever notice; my couples describe me as organized, adaptable, and completely unflappable under pressure. The goal is simple: you stay fully present for the joy and the people you love, and I make sure the day feels effortless, magical, and unmistakably yours.

Allie and her team were the first vendor I booked with, and the only regret I have from my wedding day was that I didn't go with a bigger package. Allie was so accommodating, and patient especially as I dealt with family issues that really knocked my plans to DIY around. I hired Allie as my day of coordinator and she made it actively hard for me to worry about anything! whether it was Decor Ideas I didn't think of such as using the centerpieces for the stage during the ceremony, or managing a bunch of too eager to help wedding party members Allie really pulled everything off with no issues. My wedding involved a flip of the ceremony space into the reception space, and it was the most nerve racking part for me. Allie and Julia not only directed the catering and events team but helped get everything set up in no time. It allowed me to fully enjoy my day, and for that im extremely grateful.

Working with OMGee for a last minute booking for our team was a dream. They connected with me and confirmed my team’s arrival, start, and finish time, as well as precise directions to the couples family farm! The biggest difference I noticed was that prior to sending me the timeline for the wedding day, they took everything that I requested with the bride and incorporated it fully. Meaning, as opposed to a “schedule” I have found over 22 years of doing weddings that rather than a schedule it’s best to have everyone who is receiving services be there at the start time, (except flower girls and elderly grandparents.) This allows us to rotate between hair and makeup and it keeps a relaxed atmosphere and a flow of never having an empty chair. Sometimes half of the battle for me as an owner is to get this point across too many other planners. Since my team and I are usually the first vendors that the bride sees, it is imperative that we start on time and finish on time to pass the “baton“ to the next vendors, such as photographers, videographers, and florist on time.
